The McQueen Community League’s Strategic Plan Summary as of October 2021

The McQueen Community League’s Board of Directors is excited to share our 3-page Strategic Plan Summary with you! The Strategic Plan Summary provides a high-level look at the Board’s priority areas and key tasks over the next couple of years, to help achieve our ultimate vision of ‘ensuring the neighbourhood of McQueen is a safe community, with a friendly network of neighbours who are actively engaged in thriving programs and vibrant outdoor spaces’.

First and foremost, we want to say a HUGE thank you to the community residents who contributed their insights and ideas via the community’s visioning survey that was completed in November 2020. The ideas you shared were a significant part in the development of the Strategic Plan. As a result, the Board of Directors took the survey responses and have spent many hours and meetings throughout 2021 to create a fulsome Strategic Plan for the community league.

The attached document is a summary of the larger Strategic Plan, however if you are interested in the full document or have any comments/questions please email mcqueencommunityleagueedmonton@gmail.com. We recognize that the Strategic Plan is an ambitious plan and we hope that the community will continue to engage and participate in the plan to help move these priorities forward to continue to build the community we all call home.

More details, specific community engagements and volunteer opportunities are to come, but in the meantime we are excited to share the work undertaken so far!

Thank you,

The Board of Directors
